A crash between a tractor-trailer and a New Advances for People with Disabilities transport vehicle slowed traffic on Southbound Interstate 99 Monday afternoon and sent 7 people to the hospital.

At about 3:30 p.m., a NAPD vehicle was traveling along Southbound Interstate 99 with it was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer.

Both vehicles ended up in the shoulder and traffic was slowed down.

Fire officials covered those injured with blankets to keep them warm while they waited for ambulances.

Officials said seven people were taken to the hospital and their injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Officials said it will take over one hour to clean up the crash.
