BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Motorists should expect shoulder closures on Rosedale Highway in the vicinity of Parker Lane for the next two weeks starting Wednesday, August 6.
Shoulders on both sides of the highway will be affected by this work.
The shoulder closure is happening because of a relocation of a gas line in the area. The closure will take place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The travel lanes are not expected to be impacted, but officials want to remind motorists to stay alert and watch for construction personnel while driving through this area.
Additionally, Madison Street will be closed at State Route 58 on Wednesday and Thursday nights to allow the contractor to make adjustments to the bridge false work.
The closures are expected to be in effect from 8:30 p.m. until 6 a.m. both days.
During the closures, motorists can use Cottonwood Road or Union Avenue for north-south access across the freeway.
