Two dogs impounded in Boron area after dog compliance sweep

BORON, Calif. -
A dog compliance sweep in the Boron area led to two dogs being impounded, according to reports.
On May 7, in the morning hours, Boron deputies teamed up with Kern County Animal Control officers to conduct a dog compliance sweep, based on recent community complaints.
According to officials, the sweep lasted three hours. Officials said 30 violations were observed and the dog owners were cited. Additionally, two dogs were impounded.
Violations included leash law violations, licensing and vaccinations.
Three warnings were issued and one owner was given one week to correct a violation.
