Valley Air urges schools to protect students

Offers tools to help

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, Healthy Air Living and local school officials met to protect students' health.  

Organizers urge valley schools to take advantage of the free tools provided by the  San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District and HAL that gives them the updated air quality data.

Tools include the real-time notifications and air quality flag program.

They asked the public to avoid idling cars to keep pollution down.
