Valley Fever Survivor Symposium gets national attention

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Monday evening you have a chance to help top health officials understand how serious valley fever is.
Congressman Kevin McCarthy is hosting the Valley Fever Survivor Symposium at the Kern County Department of Health located at 1800 Mt. Vernon Avenue.
Directors with the Center for Disease Control and the National Institute of Health will be there to hear your struggles with the fungal infection that strikes thousands every year.
You are invited to share your story with health experts at 4:30pm Monday night at the Hans Einstein Center located inside the department of health.
75% of Valley Fever cases are Diagnosed in the San Joaquin Valley and organizer's are hoping your stories with the disease will help earn national funding to find a cure.
