BAKERSFIELD - Valley Plaza Mall says it has plans to stay competitive after the new Tejon Ranch Outlets open.
Mall officials say they are in phase 3 of an improvement project for the mall.
They say new stores and new restaurants will be coming to the mall over the next year and a half.
Mall officials also say they are not afraid of the Tejon outlets and that the competition between the two malls will be good for customers.
People 23 ABC spoke to say they don't like the mall is much as they used to and are excited to go to Tejon Ranch to shop.
Others told us they like the convenience of the mall and will keep going there even after the outlets open.
