Victim hit, killed by car in Oildale

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A pedestrian died Wednesday morning as a result of serious injuries from being hit by a car in Oildale Tuesday night.
At about 10 p.m., the victim, 22-year-old Angel Staten, was hit by a white Buick Rondevu on Roberts Lane and Oildale Drive.
The driver did not stop at the time, but came back to the scene ten minutes later.
Staten was taken to the hospital with major injuries.
No further information is known at this time.
