Visalia man arrested for allegedly raping woman he met online

PORTERVILLE, Calif. -
A man was arrested after he allegedly raped a woman he met on the internet.
On Jan. 20, officers of the Porterville Police Department went to Sierra View Hospital regarding a 46-year-old woman who arrived at the hospital saying she was raped on Jan. 14, in Porterville.
The investigation revealed that the woman recently met a man on an online dating website.
On Jan. 14, the two agreed to meet at a local business and eventually went to a Porterville house to continue conversation.
While at the house the man, identified as 43-year-old David Pillow of Visalia, began forcing himself upon the victim.
The woman attempted to stop Pillow from engaging in sexual acts, but Pillow continued advancing on the woman and forced her to have unwanted sexual intercourse.
During the incident, Pillow forced the woman to perform other sexual acts attempted to sodomize her.
On Jan. 23, Pillow was contacted in Visalia by Porterville Police Detectives and arrested.
He was booked into the custody of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department on charges of forcible rape, forcible oral copulation, and attempted sodomy.
This case remains under investigation.
