Wanted burglar arrested after undercover detective spots him on the road

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Bakersfield police say they arrested a man wanted for two burglaries earlier today at the intersection of Truxtun Avenue and Mohawk Street.

William Kang - who was suspected of a car burglary that took place at an In-Shape parking lot on March 20 - was spotted by an undercover detective at Highway 58 and Union Avenue early Tuesday.

The detective followed Kang and called for backup.

Several police cars arrived at the scene when Kang was finally taken into custody.

They say they also arrested  a female who was in the car with Kang, but are still investigating her relation to Kang.
