WASCO, Calif. - The Wasco City Council is asking all of its residents to help with the state's drought crisis by limiting their use of water, but this time its not just a friendly reminder.
Starting on March 4th, Wasco is setting restrictions for its residents, asking them to limit the amount of water running into gutters, ditches or drains.
In addition, some residents will not be allowed to use their sprinkler systems during certain parts of the day.
If residents don't comply, they could face fines. After the first violation, like water flowing into the gutter, residents will have 30 days to fix the problem or they could receive a maximum of $100 fine.
