BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Westside Parkway is getting a little bit of a facelift as workers install new guardrails on the offramp.
Several motorists have plowed off the roadway as they attempted to navigate the exit at the end of the parkway at Truxtun Avenue and the city has responded with putting up guardrails.

Drivers should expect lane closure on the Eastbound off-ramp to the Truxtun Avenue exit, all week.
The lane is scheduled to be closed between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. with work being completed by Friday.
Drivers should stay alert in the area and watch for construction equipment and crews.
