KERN NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE FIELD TRIP

If you are a fan of local wildlife and want to learn more, join a group going to the Kern National Wildlife Refuge. Meet at 8 a.m. in the Kern River parking lot on Stockdale Highway across from CSUB. Bring water, snacks, binoculars and $10 for gas.

PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Join the community at the Our Lady Perpetual Help Italian Catholic Church for a delicious meal. It begins at 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at 124 Columbus Street. It is $6 for adults and $4 for kids.

HAGGIN OAKS FARMERS' MARKET

Vendors will be in the Kaiser Permanente parking lot on Ming Avenue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

DERBY DOLLS CHARITY

The Bakersfield Roller Derby Girls have created a pin-up calendar for 2014. The project is a fund raiser for The Giving Tree Project. The calendar is available for $20 at the Luxe Salon at 8110 Rosedale Highway from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
