RELAY FOR LIFE BAZAAR

Team geek is hosting a Fall Bazaar today at the Kern County fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The bazaar will feature close to 50 vendors inside the the fine arts building.

You're asked to enter through gate 26 and admission is free. 

BAKERSFIELD UNCORKED

The junior league of Bakersfield is hosting their annual wine fest tonight at the Kern County fairgrounds. There will be wine tastings from across the state and right here in the central valley.

In addition to the wine there will be food, beer tastings and a live and silent auction. Tickets are $75 a person. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The junior league of Bakersfield is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism and improving the community through action and leadership.

THE CAT PEOPLE

The cat people are hosting their holiday open house today at their gift shop from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy hot spiced cider and goodies as you look around the gift shop designed for cats and cat lovers.

Purchases will support the cat people's programs to help local families who need help caring for their cats and kittens. The gift shop is located at 1930 18th Street in the HP Sears building.

If you're looking to adopt a cat or kitten, the cat people hold adoptions every Saturday at the Petco on Rosedale highway from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.The cost for adoption is $65,but that does include the cat's spay or neuter, their vaccines and leukemia testing.

MARK CHESNUTT

If you're a fan of country music, then the Crystal Palace is the place to be tonight as country music singer Mark Chesnutt takes the stage.

Chesnutt has eleven studio albums and 30 singles that have hit billboards hot country songs charts including eight number one singles. Tonights show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $21 plus fees.  Buck Owens Crystal Palace is located at 2800 Buck Owens Boulevard.

BVM AFTER DARK

Tonight the Buena Vista Museum of Natural history and Science is inviting you to their "after dark" gala fundraiser.

Tonight the museum will host a night of entertainment, hors d'oeuvres, wine and a silent auction. Proceeds directly benefit the museum and its programs.

The after dark gala is from 6 until 9 p.m. Tickets are $40for members of the museum and $50 for non-members. The museum is located at 2018 Chester Avenue between 20th and 21st streets.

MONSTER ENERGY FREESTYLE

Monster Energy Freestyle Motocross world tour is revving up here in Kern County, today. Ten of the world's best riders will be performing this afternoon at the Kern County Raceway park from 2 until 4 p.m.

Watch as riders perform stunts forty-feet in the air. Tickets are $15 for adults, children six to 15 years old and seniors are $8 or you can get a family pack two adult ticket and two kids tickets for $40. The race way is located at 13500 Raceway Bloulevard off of Enos Lane and Interstate 5.

CSUB MENS BASKETBALL

The CSUB men's basketball team is taking on the Idaho State Bengals, tonight, at the Icardo center.

Tip off is at 7 p.m.. Tickets range from $5 to $20. The runners are 3-1 so far this season.

YOUTH DISC GOLF TOURNAMENT 

It's the first bakersfield youth disc golf tournament. If you have kids or know someone with kids that may want to participate in this tournament it kicks off at 9 a.m. at San Lauren Park at 4100 Mohawk Street.

It's $7 to participate. There will be three divisions for kids 13 and under. Winners will receive awards and prizes, and there will be a bounce house there for everyone to enjoy.

TURKEY TROT 2103

It's the annual Turkey Trot and Run benefiting the Bakersfield homeless center.

It kicks off at 8 s.m. with the one mile, 5k and 10k races. Then it's followed up with the Lil Gobbler run with Bob the turkey.

The turkey trot takes place at Yokuts park 4200 Empire Drive off of Truxtun Avenue.

It's $30 for adults, $25 dollars for runners 17 and under and $10 for the lil gobblers.

MYTHBUSTERS LIVE

If you're a fan of the show Mythbusters then don't miss your chance to see the guys here in Bakersfield tonight. Adam savage and Jamie Hyneman will be at the Rabobank theater tonight with their live show Mythbusters Behind the Myths.

The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $30 and are available at the Rabobank box office.

HAGGIN OAKS FARMERS MARKET

Vendors will be selling fruit, vegetables, local honey, breads, eggs, and more. The market is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Kaiser Permanente parking lot on Ming Avenue.

BAKERSFIELD BLACK HOLE

Raiders fans can join the Bakersfield "Black Hole" members to watch the game at Cataldo's Pizzeria. Kickoff is at 10 a.m. and the pizzeria is on Niles Street.
