RIO BRAVO RUMBLE
The 10th annual Rio Bravo Rumble Duathlon takes place at Rio Bravo Ranch, 15701 Highway 178. Bikers and runners get together and share a course for fun and prizes. There are team and individual events for 5 and 10k runs, as well as a 20 mile bike ride. Race day registration starts at 7:30 a.m. and goes to 8:30 a.m. with races starting at 9 a.m. Free races for kids start at noon. FREE RUGBY CLINIC FOR KIDS
If you're looking for ways to get your kids outside and more active, The Kern County Rugby Football Club is hosting a free, no contact rugby clinic for kids at Polo Park on the corner of Noriega and Old Farm Road. The clinic is from 10 a.m. until noon, and after you can stick around and watch the team take on the Oceanside Chiefs at 1 p.m.

ANNUAL MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. COMMUNITY BREAKFAST AND AWARDS CELEBRATION
The events start at 8:30 a.m. at 1000 South Owens Street. Following the breakfast will be the Community Youth Luncheon and the MLK Candlelight March that will start at 5:30 p.m. in front of the Liberty Bell on Truxton Avenue. The march will proceed to The First Presbyterian Church on Truxton Avenue and "H" Street.
