WILLOWICK, Ohio - One baby boy was so eager to meet his mom and dad, he just couldn’t wait to get to the hospital.
That’s what Willowick Fire Department officials said happened to a local family around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday when they pulled into the parking lot of DawnChem Inc., at 30510 Lakeland Blvd.
The parents were driving to the hospital with the mother of the child was in labor when they realized they wouldn’t make it in time.
So, the soon-to-be new father pulled in to the parking lot, called 911 and delivered his son in the car.
In the incredible 9-1-1 recording, the father is heard pleading with dispatchers to send help. Within seconds, he tells the dispatcher that the baby is out and breathing, and everyone is ok.
Once EMS arrived, the baby and mother were checked out, and then transported to the hospital.
The family is doing okay and enjoying their new baby boy.
