WOFFORD HEIGHTS, Ca. - A Wofford Heights man was airlifted to KMC after he was shot, but authorities are not sure where the bullet came from.
Sheriff’s and emergency crews were called to 305 Bristlecone drive just before 7 p.m. Thursday.
They say a man was suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was going in and out of consciousness, but was able to tell authorities that he didn’t see anyone with a gun and didn’t even hear a gun go off.
The victim was airlifted to Kern Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Sheriff’s say he may have seen shot by a rogue bullet from a nearby hunter, but the shooting is still under investigation.
