BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A Bakersfield woman is facing three felony charges in the case of a 2-year-old found dead in a car last week.
Wendy Guadalupe Gomez was in court today, arraigned on charges of second-degree murder, torture and willful cruelty to a child.
The 20-year-old was arrested Saturday after police found a toddler not breathing inside a car on Chester Lane.
Police said the child suffered trauma to her lower extremities.
Authorities have not released the name of the child or the relationship with Gomez.
