ARVIN, Calif. - California Highway Patrol released details of a crash that left a woman dead Monday afternoon.
The woman, whose identity has not be released, was killed after a car driven by Enrique Monarez ran a stop sign on Edison Road.
Monarez's Honda Civic collided with the victim's vehicle, a Nissan pickup driven by Jesus Coronado. The pickup was pushed to the southeast into a dirt field where it rolled over and came to a rest on the roof. The victim was ejected, CHP officials said.
The victim was transported to the hospital where she died. Coronado also sustained major injuries.
The victim in the pick was not wearing a seat belt, CHP officials said.
The collision is under investigation.
