Woman promotes health and fitness while attempting to break world record

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A Bakersfield woman is looking to help children in Kern County and she's doing it by dancing.

Carrie Swidecki is trying to break the Guiness World Record at Otto's Video Games and More by dancing for 72 hours.

She already has two records so 23abc asked her why try to break this record?

"I hope to take this World Record up to 72 hours to show people that exer-gaming gives you incredible strength, makes you git and gives you endurance so, that more people can recognize it and get it into schools for children," she said.

Swidecki says she's dancing in order to raise awareness of childhood obesity and considers exer-gaming a good, fun way for kids to get active.
