BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A man accused of striking a woman in the head with a wrought-iron planter fled the scene on Thursday evening according to officials.

On Nov. 8, at 6:52 p.m., deputies said they went to the 3000 block of Crestline Road regarding a domestic violence issue.

When they arrived, officials said they found a 33-year-old woman who had been struck in the head with the wrought-iron planter.

The woman suffered a cut on the side of her head and was taken to Kern Medical Center.

The suspect, according to deputies fled the scene prior to their arrival, was identified as 26-year old Ricky Hill.
