Youth basketball registration soon for winter season

VISALIA, Calif. - Fall is upon us, and all the young hoop enthusiasts out there are awaiting their chance to hit the gym floor for the City of Visalia Parks & Recreation Department’s Winter Youth Basketball League.
Beginning on Jan. 5, 2013 the Winter Youth Basketball League season runs through March 2, 2013.
With games played on Saturdays, locations include the Manuel F. Hernandez Community Center, the Anthony Community Center Gym, the College of the Sequoias, and local high school gymnasiums.
Youth of a variety of ages, both girls and boys, are encouraged to participate and join in the fun. With team jerseys provided for each player, the cost is $52 for participants ages three and four, and $67 for ages five and six and for participants in First through Eighth grade.
Featuring a special Registration Discount Day at the Anthony Community Center, participants can take advantage of this $10 off offer by marking their calendars for Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Any registrations taken before or after this date will be full price. Deadline date for all participants who wish to register for Winter Youth Basketball is November 16, 2012.
