BAKERSFIELD - Instructors of the popular Zumba Fitness are working together to raise money for a good cause.
People showed off their moves during a Zumba-thon at Skateland in south Bakersfield. The dancers are raising money for two organizations: The Hearts Connection of Kern County and the Valley Achievement Center.
Hearts Connection helps children with disabilities, providing training for parents and supports groups. Valley Achievement specializes in Autism and other developmental disabilities.
“Mike is a very, very strong Zumba instructor here in Bakersfield and we are very happy to be able to finally do something for our town that we care so much about,” said Fitness instructor, Condy Burdick.
Two of the Zumba instructors have children with disabilities and they are the ones who helped inspire the fundraiser.
