Over 2,000 PG&E customers without power in Northwest Bakersfield

Cause of outage unknown at this time

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Close to 2,100 PG&E customers lost power around Hageman Road and Patton Way in Bakersfield, Friday.

According to Denny Boyles with the electricity company, the cause of the outage is unknown at this time, but the power did go down just before 4 p.m.

Boyles said it will take about 25 minutes for PG&E electricians to arrive to the scene to figure out what caused the outage near the Rosedale area.

A 23ABC reporter who lives in an apartment complex near the reported affected area said management notified residents that power should be restored by 7 p.m. They said the outage was due to a power pole that is down between Calloway  Drive and Jewetta Avenue.
