Police Looking For Suspect Connected To Human Remains Found In Back Yard

The Bakersfield Police Department is looking for Argelio Salinas on charges of unlawful disposal of a human body, conspiracy to commit crime, and accessory.

Salinas is described as a Hispanic male, 27 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

On Aug. 14, 2012, officers were dispatched to a suspicious circumstance report at 4216 Crescent Rock Lane. The reporting party provided officers with information on a possible burial site at 5908 Grass Creek Dr.

Officers responded to the residence on Grass Creek Drive and located what appeared to be a burial site. While at this location, Frank Valles 45 of Bakersfield arrived.

Valles was taken to the Bakersfield Police Department for questioning.

Another person was taken to the Bakersfield Police Department for questioning.

Through interviews with Valles and other person, detectives learned there was possibly a second burial site at 218 Curnow Rd.

Detectives obtained search warrants for the residences at 5908 Grass Creek Drive and 218 Curnow Rd. Remains that appeared to be human were found at these locations.

Detectives and the coroner are continuing their investigation.

Valles was arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail facing homicide charges.
