WASHINGTON - Voters in Maine and Maryland have said yes to same-sex marriage.
They become the first states to approve gay marriage by popular vote. Minnesota voters have defeated a proposed constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage in the state.
Colorado and Washington are the first states to pass a law legalizing marijuana for recreational use.
Oregon rejected it.
Analysts expect the Federal Government to get involved.
