Shots fired inside Lafayette Square Mall Friday night

INDIANAPOLIS - Someone fired multiple shots inside an Indianapolis mall Friday night, police said.

Indianapolis Metro police said shots rang out at the Lafayette Square Mall just before 7 p.m.

Witnesses told police that four to five shots were fired, and witnesses reported seeing one male firing the shots.

Police said they recovered the gun they believe was used to fire the shots.

Police took a juvenile male into custody for questioning, but no arrest has been made.

Police did not release any information about a possible motive.

No injuries were reported.
