(AP) -- The California Highway Patrol says 15 passengers have been hospitalized with minor injuries after a bus rear-ended a big rig on a Central Valley freeway.
Officer Scott Jobinger says the collision happened just before midnight Monday in the slow lane of northbound Route 99 in Tulare, about 40 miles south of Fresno.
Jobinger says 15 people were transported to hospitals. Seventeen other passengers complained of pain and other minor injuries but refused treatment.
It's unknown how many people were on the bus at the time of the crash.
KABC-TV in Los Angeles reports the bus was en route from LA to Washington state.
