SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -

Police say a woman has been arrested on suspicion of DUI following a high speed chase through the streets of San Francisco, injuring a bicyclist and damaging several vehicles.

The chase started when Highway Patrol officers began following the woman's SUV on Interstate 80 near the Bay Bridge early Thursday. She sped through the city's Mission district as would eventually slam into a parked car that hit a man on his bicycle. He suffered minor injuries.

The chase ended after the driver hit another parked car and struck a utility pole at a busy intersection. The crash knocked out power as crews were on the scene repairing the damaged traffic light.

The driver now faces several charges, including felony DUI, hit and run and reckless evading from police.

Her name has not been released.
