SAN JOSE, Calif. - A San Jose school bus driver is being called a hero after she saved the life of a disabled student Thursday morning.
Police said Wilma Acosta ran to the back of the bus where a student in a wheelchair was sitting.
She tried to lower the wheelchair ramp but couldn't. The driver lifted the girl from her wheelchair and carried her off the bus.
They're both doing fine this morning.
