SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Lawmakers are taking aim at ammo sales in California.
A safety committee approved the bulletproofing communities bill.
The deadly shooting at Sandy Hook is the motivation behind the measure which requires the sale of transfer of all bullets to be done by only licensed dealers and law enforcement will be notified of anyone who buys more than 3,000 rounds within five days.
Gun owners think the ammo sale restrictions will cause an even greater demand for bullets.
