SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Governor Jerry Brown signed legislation launching a specialized license plate that includes a likeness of Snoopy from the classic Peanuts cartoon strip.
The revenues will be dedicated to the California Cultural and Historical Endowment to fund museums statewide.
The Department of Motor Vehicles needs 7,500 prepaid orders before offering the plate.
About 9,200 Californians have already pledged to apply for one.
The plates will cost $50, and an additional $48 to have it personalized.
