TORRANCE, Calif. -
Police in Torrance say an elderly man has shot his wife to death in her hospital room before turning the gun on himself.
Sgt. Robert Watt said the murder-suicide occurred on the fourth floor of Providence Little Company of Mary hospital Saturday night. He said officers recovered a weapon from the scene.
The Torrance Daily Breeze reports (http://bit.ly/SpZEhZ) the man's wife was terminally ill.
The couple's names were being withheld pending notification of relatives.
