VENTURA, Calif. (AP) -
A Southern California mother has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for a drunken driving crash that killed her teenage daughter.
Prosecutors say 39-year-old Judith Ramirez had gone to a party and stopped for beer five minutes before the 2010 crash that killed 17-year-old Victoria Castro-Ramirez and injured the woman's 4-year-old son and a 21-year-old family friend.
The Ventura County Star (http://bit.ly/UfG8mo ) says a jury convicted Ramirez of two counts of child endangerment, drunken driving causing great bodily injury and driving with a suspended driver's license.
The Oxnard woman had previous drunken driving convictions.
The Ventura County judge sentenced her on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012.
