LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. (AP) -
Orange County investigators have released the husband of a woman who was shot to death in her Laguna Niguel apartment.
The man called 911 to report the shooting at around 1:30 a.m. Friday.
Sheriff's Lt. Joel Balicki tells the Los Angeles Times that the man stated he'd shot his wife, 24-year-old dental assistant Johanah Wade.
She had a chest wound and died at a hospital.
Sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino says the 25-year-old husband was questioned and released. He says the man remains a person of interest as investigators try to determine the circumstances of the shooting.
Amormino also says there's no history of domestic violence calls to the home.
