SAN DIEGO (AP) -

A San Diego man who prostituted a 14-year-old girl and offered her services over the Internet has been sentenced to 12 1/2 years in federal prison.

U-T San Diego says Randy Ballard was sentenced Monday. He pleaded guilty in November to sex trafficking of children.

Prosecutors say Ballard met the girl in El Paso, Texas and brought her back to San Diego to work as a prostitute under a false ID.

When National City police questioned the girl last May, she told them she'd stayed in various Southern California hotels and had sex up to 10 times a day. The girl said she received $150 to $200 per client and gave the money to Ballard.
