The Breakdown: Life hacks tips and tricks for your computer
When you work in an office, you're stuck with whatever computer the company gives you. But even if you've got a diesl-burning commodore from the days of disco, there are simple tricks you can use to make your life easier.
1) HOW TO MAKE TWO COMPUTER WINDOWS:
Need to work in two windows, but tired of fumbling around trying to resize them to fit on one screen? Windows will do it automatically for you if you grab the window you want and swing it all the way to the left and let go, grab the other window you want and do the same to the right. Voila! Two screens on one monitor.
2) HOW TO GET RID OF MULTIPLE WINDOWS:
Annoyed with all the windows you've opened? Click and hold the one you want, give it a shake. Ta-da! All the other windows will close except the one your holding onto.
3) WHERE THE UNDO KEY IS IN WINDOWS:
Ever make a terrible terrible mistake you wish you could undo? Well, Windows works just like many art and editing programs that have an undo button. Just stop what your doing and press control Z. Boom! You just turned back the hands of time.
4) HOW TO STOP YOUR COMPUTER FROM SLEEPING:
And here is our favorite computer life hack. You know how when your at work you step away from your computer for five minutes and it locks itself down? With this trick you will never again have to type in your password with its impossible-to-remember mixture of capital letters and numbers.
When you leave your desk, simply take an analog clock and put your mouse over it. The movement from the second hand will keep your computer from going to sleep.
