TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -

Tucson police say an officer shot a 17-year-old boy after he pulled a gun on the officer during a foot chase.

Police spokesman Sgt. Chris Widmer says the 17-year-old and a 20-year-old man were spotted Sunday morning near a home where a woman complained about people who were ringing her door bell but wouldn't identify themselves.

Widmer says the 17-year-old and a 20-year-old fled in different directions when approached by officers.

Widmer says the 20-year-old was eventually caught, while the 17-year-old ran into a yard and later pulled a gun on the officer.

The teen's injury wasn't life-threatening.

It's not known whether the teen fired on the officer.

Investigators are trying to determine what the pair was doing in the air around 6:25 a.m. Sunday.
