Atlanta police are responding to a report of a shooting at a school but had no other immediate details.

Authorities said that a teacher and student were shot.

Officials said that the 14-year-old student was shot in the back of the neck, but is alert and talking.

Atlanta Fire Cpt. Marian McDaniel said a teacher suffered minor cuts and bruises but was treated on the scene at Price Middle School. Earlier, a police spokesman said he was headed to the school about 2 miles south of downtown following reports of a shooting.

Officials said they have one person in custody.
