Anthem Blue Cross health insurance users could be paying more come next year.
Customers could see their rates jump by an average 18 percent in Feb. under a proposal by the states largest for profit insurer.
The LA Times said the proposed increase could affect 630,000 policy holders.
The insurer cited rising medical costs for the hike.
The rate hikes are among several others proposed by California insurers, including Aetna and Health Net.
