An Arizona man is facing charges after police said he stabbed a roommate in the head because he believed the man was having an affair with his wife.
The Arizona Republic reports that court document said Luis Gabriel "felt he was within his right" to stab the roommate Thursday.
Police said the 55-year-old Gabriel came home while his wife and roommate were speaking to each other, prompting Gabriel to suspect that they were having an affair. Authorities said Gabriel got two knives and stabbed his roommate on the top of the head.
Gabriel told officers if he had found his machete, he would have killed his wife and the roommate.
Gabriel is being held on suspicion of aggravated assault.
It was unclear if he had an attorney.
