Banana Boat recalled 23 of its spray sunscreen products Friday following reports that a handful of people caught on fire after applying it.

The UltraMist products are being pulled from store shelves due to the risk that they can ignite when exposed to open flames, The Associated Press reported.

Four people in the U.S. and one person in Canada have reported burns following the use of Banana Boat UltraMist Sport SPF 30 and 50 products, according to Reuters. The size of the spray valve is applying too much sunscreen.

Because of that, the lotion is taking longer to dry, raising its flammability risk, Energizer Holdings Inc. said in a statement.

It's urging anyone who has the products to no longer use them.

More information is available from Banana Boat at 1-800-SAFESUN.
