AUSTIN, Texas - A high school in Texas came under fire for allowing their cheerleaders to write religious phrases on banners at football games.
After receiving complaints, Kountze High School officials told the cheerleaders they had to stop.
The cheerleaders and their parents sued, claiming the ban violated their free speech rights.
A judge ruled Thursday they can continue to display them for now, pending trial next year.
