Ex-Penn State president charged in Sandusky scandal

PENNSYLVANIA - Former Penn State President Graham Spanier has been charged with several counts in the child rape scandal at the university, including perjury, conspiracy and endangering the welfare of children.

Jerry Sandusky, the 68-year-old former Penn State assistant football coach, was convicted in June of sexually abusing 10 boys and was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison in October.
