Explosions rock fuel barges in Alabama

Authorities continue to let fire burn out Thursday

MOBILE, Ala. -  

(AP) -- Some seven explosions have rocked two burning fuel barges in Mobile, Ala., the latest blast being this morning.
 
Fire officials say the initial blasts injured three people and that the fire will be allowed to burn overnight.
 
A one-nautical-mile safety zone has been established around one barge.
 
Across the river, the disabled Carnival Triumph cruise ship that was towed to Mobile, was evacuated.
