DELANO, Calif. - The POWER program from the Delano Union School District will be have a Nationwide event called  POWER Up! Lights On After School  On Thursday, Oct. 18th  from  4-7 p.m . 

This event calls for bringing awareness to the importance of after school programs and the resources required to keep the lights on and the doors open.

Student work in power will be on display, student performances will be showcased, and the after school opportunities available throughout our community will be promoted at this community event.

Also, we will have food and kiddie amusements available and open for the public.  

This event will take place at Cecil Avenue Math & Science Academy located at 1430 Cecil Avenue, Delano, Calif.

Special guests will be Mr. David Valadao, Assemblyman he will be participating in our opening ceremony, as well as, a representative from Senator Michael Rubio's  office.

In addition, our City of Delano Mayor, Grace Vallejo will also be one of our guest speakers.  All in favor of keeping the Lights On After School for our children to be in a safe and academically beneficial place after school.
