NORMAN, Okla. - Officials with the University of Oklahoma say normal campus operations have resumed after a report of a shooting on the Norman campus.
The university tweeted from its official Twitter account that operations have resumed on campus but Gould Hall should still be avoided.
The university also said there was no evidence that shots were actually fired and no injuries were reported.
OU's Gaylord College tweeted that President David Boren told students campus officials believe it was a false alarm.
An immediate shelter-in-place order was issued before noon after a report of a shooting on campus. A message was posted to the university's official twitter account telling students to avoid Gould Hall.
