FLORENCE, Ariz. - Authorities in southern Arizona say a 22-year-old man was hit in the hand by a stray shotgun pellet from a warning shot after a 68-year-old man found his wife in bed with the younger man.
The Pinal County Sheriff's Office says the incident occurred early Saturday morning in Saddlebrook, a retirement community north of Tucson.
The older man woke at 1 a.m., found his 63-year-old wife and the younger man in a guest house and used his cane to wake up the younger man.
The shot was fired during an ensuing confrontation between the two men.
The sheriff's office says Stephen Trevor Chapman declined medical treatment and was booked into jail on suspicion of disorderly conduct.
The identities of the other man and his wife weren't released.
