FAIRFAX, Va. - Some teachers at a suburban Washington school are dressing more like their students in an effort to bring attention to the low salaries of schoolteachers.
Teachers at Woodson High in Fairfax County, Va., are wearing jeans and T-shirts. It's part of a protest for better pay.
The Washington Post reports about half the faculty members have been dressing down.
The teachers said the average salary in Fairfax lags behind other school systems in the area.
One teacher noted that maintaining a professional wardrobe is an expense.
