Lindsey Stone took a picture of herself a month ago flipping the bird at Arlington National Cemetery.
She then posted it on Facebook.
It set off a firestorm of controversy, ending yesterday when she lost her job with a non-profit organization that helps adults with special needs.
Ironically, the announcement was made on Facebook.
Stone and her friend Jamie Schuh apologized Thursday saying they were deeply sorry.
