The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating John Michael Dockery, 25.

Dockery is wanted for questioning regarding a stabbing that occurred in Lake Isabella.

Around 9:30 a.m. on Monday, deputies responded to the 2600 block of Irwin Street.

When they arrived, they said they found Curtis Jerome Gregory, 22, who was suffering from two stab wounds to his lower left torso.

Gregory said he was walking home from his brother's house, and was on Claire Street when someone came up behind him and knocked him unconscious.

He told deputies that he regained consciousness and he felt someone sticking him.

Gregory was transported to Kern Medical Center and his injuries do not appear life threatening, deputies said.

Dockery is also wanted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for a violation of parole.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Dockery is urged to call the Kern County Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110.
